Summer House in Budock Water

Replacement Dwelling

The proposal for this project was to build a summer house in a plot of land in Churchtown. The land that once housed a pigsty, is now home to a spacious, sleek, modern property that the owners can use in the summer months.

Entering through the storm porch, those visiting the summer house will find themselves in a spacious summer room with a kitchen and log burner, leading to a hot tub room and adjoining shower and toilet. The high roof and large windows provide an airy atmosphere, with plenty of natural light.

The area around the summer house has been paved to provide a spacious patio for barbeques, with plenty of room for seating and socialising. The awning that surrounds the raised patio area creates a sheltered porch, perfect for garden furnishings. The landscaping provides an almost Mediterranean feel to the property, working perfectly with the summer house itself.
