For this project, 3HW were asked to rework the layout of this bungalow in Porthleven and make a more effective living space.

The existing lounge was rarely used, with little natural daylight and views of the road infront of the property. Instead, the clients chose to use their conservatory as the primary living area. However, a leaky roof made it a less than ideal space.

3HW replaced the conservatory roof with a flat roof, and reworked the internal layout of the house, creating an open plan living area, and an ensuite to the master bedroom in addition to the main family bathroom. A small infill extension on the south side of the bungalow increased living space even more, and allowed for the creation of a third bedroom.

This property now takes full advantage of the natural light and views to the west, and provides more spacious and comfortable living spaces. Large windows and folding doors only accentuate this element of the new design.
